The Edge of October

I love the view of my street as I turn into it
Because it means I’m coming home.
How can I accurately describe the feeling of today?
The sky’s perfectly blue, yet perfectly grey
The clouds thin like melting cotton candy
The grass cool and lush from rain
And waves of butterflies fly low
On their way down to Mexico.
How can I make this magic stay?
My whole life encompassed in a typical Wednesday.
